There are 3 rounds of questions, but if the NB brings in a new expert during the review (clinical, for example), will that additional reviewer have his/her own 3 rounds of questions?

Every reviewer gets 3 rounds of questions, but you may only talk with your technical reviewer. If a clinical or other specific reviewer is added to the process, that reviewer will also have 3 rounds of questions. It is in your best of interest though to understand the questions completely and provide the most comprehensive answers in round 1. If you're not clear about the questions in round 1, pick up the phone and call the reviewer to gain clarity rather than waiting until the next round. The three rounds will go quickly and you could end up back in the queue.
